Tom Mc Laughlin, Ph.D

Thomas Mc Laughlin is a professor of English at Appalachian State University. He teaches courses in literature, writing, critical theory, cultural studies, and creative practice. He is the author or editor of five books, including most recently Street Smarts and Critical Theory and Give and Go: Basketball as a Cultural Practice. He is currently at work on The Reading Body, a book that explores the act of reading as a somatic practice.
