EGS Summer School

The EGS Summer Schools offer a unique opportunity to combine academic education with Art-making in an international learning community - all situated in the glorious Alps of Saas Fee, Switzerland.
These intensive summer programs, filled with classes, lectures, community art-making, performances and excursions, are designed to provide rigorous learning in a supportive atmosphere, one in which students will be encouraged to develop both their intellectual resources and their innate creativity.
EGS will have two summer sessions in 2012:
The first session, June 12 - July 4, will be comprised of the Expressive Arts and Digital Media Module (ITS-M), the Third-year Expressive Arts Exam Courses (IT-3), and the Individualized Study Module (ITS-A), as well as the second year of the CAGS Doctoral group (IMC-2).
The second session, July 10 - August 1, will consist of two Expressive Arts Therapy groups (ITS-P and ITS-D), an Expressive Arts Coaching and Consulting Group (ITC-P), and the Expressive Arts in Conflict-Transformation and Peace-Building classes (CT-2 and CT-4), as well as the new students in the CAGS Doctoral group (IMC-1).
In the second session, we will have the Celebration of Provost Paolo Knill's 80th birthday
with special guests Expressive Arts therapy Co-founder Shaun McNiff, musician extraordinaire Stan Strickland, renowned Swiss artist Adolf Muschg and Artist-in-Residence and Poet Laureate Elizabeth McKim.
This promises to be an amazing event.
