Carrie McLeod, cand. Ph.D.

has used an arts-based approach to education, advocacy and social change for the past 10 years. Internationally, she has worked in the context of peace and reconciliation programs with children impacted by war in Sierra Leone, West Africa, and with community health, education and environmental projects throughout India and Central America.

In Canada, she works with theatre, film and giant puppets to produce shows on human rights, and facilitates Expressive Arts workshops on HIV/AIDS prevention, intercultural conflict resolution and global responsibility.

She is the co-founder and Director of the ICAP (International Center for Arts in Peacebuilding) Research Institute at EGS in Switzerland and an Assistant Professor at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver.
